pow does aircon completely destroy your mpg? mine seems to a journey id normally get 52 on i was getting 46 with the aircon on

tbf mines normally off its just i use it when i first get in the car .
been told i need to start using it more often though as it stinks atm but its because it hasnt been used since i had it.

Apparently it does, when i have mine on i notice it uses more fuel, so me being a tight bastard i just open the windows

in my mate's vectra, if you sit at idle and turn the AC on, you can see the rev's climb slightly.

In real cars, that doesnt happen 
(Mine idles at 800RPM, even if your trying to power a drill off of it on idle).
If you push the window up switch in Kirstys car on idle, the revs drop LOL

My AC doesnt really affect MPG much. Only use it on motorways so sitting at a steady speed holding revs.

Mine idles at just under 1k, mess with windows, mirrors ac etc and it does move a tad.Think my ac needs re-gassing though, not all that cold atm.
