Don't know what sort of set up a lot of other stores have, and admittedly I didn't know a great deal when I started but learnt A LOT from working within the tech guys and I do a lot of private work as well now.

Im not sales btw im one of the tech lot, aiming for a position as Sales Coach/Management.

For people to work in the tech side of pc world you do need to know atleast the basics, for sales nothing

So obviously he doesnt sell with technical knowledge.
Also Pc Performance is a load of rubbish. I could do a whole essay Paul J style about its downfalls.

@ Does it have Windows. True to be fair the sales guys don't know a great deal, we've got 1 or 2 who know enough to sell PC's but a lot do just blag it.

Yeah im looking to get onto the SIM programme, hopefully be this year, if not can see mysef leaving soon, as you say, the money isnt great if your not in management.

thing is, the amount of customers that are absolute tools, no wonder people with no knowledge can blag sales.
Its funny really, i have a strong computing background with lots of work experience with computer hardware but i still do sales
Im good at selling and that seems to come first in this company.
Sales first, customer support last
Oh just one last thing, the bonuses are gonna be worked on how well you sell soon so if you sell lots of pcp, norton, office and tech friends then you will get a good bonus.
If you go into management, it will be even better because if your store is like mine, its not been doing so well this year(down on sales since last year). but since its coming to a year since that flop happened you should be given easy targets to hit and hence making a good bonus.

Our store doesn't too badly to be fair, got a decent payout in the business peak incentive this year. Finished 3rd ( I think ) in the top league.

how much was decent?
I got 1k bonus for xmas 2 years ago. This year...... £150
