A run to brighton, reset the trip as I joined the M25 an averaged 62.7MPG till I hit the traffic heading into brighton.
I can quite easily hit 55 on a proper run

Cheers fella,
I didn't even give the Fabia a thought until this last week at work i've been driving a courtesy car Fabia 1.2 3cylinder jobbie...It puts Corsa 1.2s to shame!
So i can imagine double the power would be pretty impressive.

Dads got a 06 plate Fabia VRs, went through its 60,000 mile service on friday-no problems at all! He usually gets about 50-60mpg and he likes to boot it
In his words "it suprises alot of people off the line and overtaking" Hes beaten a lot of more powerful cars easily
Fabia VRs= kinda why I want a golf TDi as my first car

Shows just how easy the miles rake up, im doing about 80 miles a day then some at the weekend & nights so say 500 miles a week, thats 26,000 miles a year.
Previous owner of my car had done 60odd in 2 & a bit yrs going to down to Wales & back every weekend, Ive done 14k since buying it in November & its been off the road a bit (my doings not the cars ). 100k service is getting done on Saturday but I know the cars fine & the components arnt tired!!

Q. Whats had the harder life?
Car 1. Done 50,000 miles around town going to shops, school run, never being properly warmed up etc.
Car 2 - Done 100,000 miles 99% of the time cruising motorways.
Both cars exact same except from the miles!

I bought my car with 59k on the clock August 2006. Now just turned 81k. So 22k in 2 years. Not bad for a little 12v and it hasn't let me down. Touch wood.

My 0-60 is around 6.something seconds which is great but MPG is around 23mpg on average. Booting it will see around 6-7mpg!

commuting 30-40 mpg
fun 20-30 mpg
did get a 6.8 to 60 but that was a couple of years ago
As for PD130 VAG lump, few of my mates run these (fabias, bora's etc) and non have had problems. Do they all come with the 6 speed box?

That would be me as well then I think it's 16.5 to 60 though
I think last time I worked it out I did somewhere between 45 and 50, but that was just after I got the car I forgot to reset the trip counter the other day when I filled up so can't work it out for a couple of weeks now
Either way, it's a 12v so let's put it this way:
MPG: lots
0-60: lots

I don't, I want a huge carbon footprint tbh. Just to piss off everyone who moans at me that I should keep it in mind.
15mpg if I'm lucky, 0-60 about 5
