It was probably a closed section of road they were filming on.

It is still a "Public" road.

Nothing is going to happen to Jezza over this.

Was supposedly in London were the average speed is 6mph, nice piece of sensationalism from Clarkson to highlight his other points of car tax being increased and police being lazy cunts

there was a sound clip of it on the radio today. He said it was the lime-house link and that 'someone' did 186 in the veyron.

he says stuff like that to cause a stir imo, and fair play to him. they bite every time.

i may have done over 100mph in the rain whilst sitting on the phone on a motorway, but who's to say it actually happened?

Questions why a 2year old boy is wandering about on public roads?

Is there even a road long enough in the Isle of Man to get to 186mph?

I think he's made a booboo there. There is no public road I can think of where 186mph is appropriate.

I'm all for making your own decisions over what speed is safe and suitable but I'm struggling to justify that.

90mph if it's clear maybe - but twice that?

hes always driving at those speeds when test driving ferraris, lambos, porsche's, etc, its like us doing 70mph.

He doesn't say where it was, when it was, what car, no evidence (for or against) or anything, he probally made it up.

Clarkson is a legend, he should be PM and Stig should be misiter for transport

Thats a bit of a silly comment really.

On topic, he's only said it to get peoples backs up. Its what he does, he wont get sacked.

That copper who was caught driving at 159mph wasnt sacked, fined or banned or any punishment givedn.

Yet all clarkson has said is he drove at that speed and he should be sacked for that?

He loves the contrversy its what keeps him in the public eye, personally even if he did drive that speed still think hes a legend
