doing a vocational course, I tend to get a feeling of ease after handing each project in, but currently finishing a tiny 2000 word report on a live brief I've had to do, hand that in friday then off to see the mrs in Aberytswth. 6 weeks since seeing her so looking forward to it big time!

Not really. 'Standard' degree is 3 years. Some are 4 with a sandwich/placement year after Year 2.
Becoming a doctor as in GP is something like 6 - 8 years

My mate for example did like Horticulture or something... hardly had any work, modules or exams. Those he did have weren't taxing and spent his time going out, playing xbox or pissing about the house.

bitter? I had a right laugh on my mickey mouse degree, a lot better than working a dead end job for 3 years. Not everyone knows what they want to do as a job in life sadly.

Professional degrees are usually at least 4 years - my Building Surveying degree will be (although I'm doing it part time)

Yeah, because you will most probably come away with another qualification to say you're certified. Mine would probably end up 4 years if I become a member of the CIM or CIPR etc.

Though it's a good feeling handing the work in. It's even better when you hand some CAD work in and the lecturer has written 'cool pic' as one of the comments on your rendering

Yeah sandwich courses tend to be 4 years, but i've added another year as i've moved up to do MEng Mechanical Engieering, but still as an undergraduate, so i don't have to pay post grad fees!
I do wish I'd done a mickey mouse course sometimes though, the workload on this course is stupid at times....

I was supposed to be doing a 4 year course but I opted out of the year in industry.
I handed my dissertation in about 2 weeks ago, such a good feeling

I wish I never did my work placement. Complete pain in the arse...
I would have just finished my exams if I hadn't have been conned into doing it.

Not sure about others, but my RICS membership certification is two years long and overlaps the last year of the degree, with the second year recording a diary in full-time employment making the total 5

Well I'm enquiring about doing a Professional Certificate in Marketing or Professional Diploma in Marketing through the CIM and Bedford college. 2 nights/week, 6pm till 9pm. Sounds very manageable but doesn't start until September, when I'll be starting my final year. I really don't think it'd be a wise move.
