i also remember cans of coke being 15p around that time too, so .... thinking about it, the petrol price isnt that bad, or as bad as folk are harping on about.

Our wages go up, prices go up...

As Alun says, just because they aren't EU, doesn't mean they aren't part of Europe.

Which continent are they part of then?

I spend £350 on petrol a month now, rather than £200 last year. I do about the same mileage 20k a year.

granted, but when you're talking about monitery matters you naturally associate the union.

I.e when you buy duty free pish, Norway isnt counted as 'Europe'

Anyway.... Norway is expensive as hell, but they seem to manage. I'd like to live here for a while.

If petrol is too much for you to afford, walk or cycle. People used to manage, and I'm sure they still could if lifestyles were different.

I agree entirely with that Adam, and I wasn't trying to be awkward, I just wanted to see what you meant by Norway not being in Europe.

As you said, when talking about monetary values, you normally do talk about member countries of the EU.

Are you in Norway at the moment then?
