im 17 n i drive a corsa 1.4 sport n my insurance is £3000 thrid party only. i dont race it only if sum dogy chav thinks is ard in a 800cc fiat ciquenco (or however it spelt lol)

Surely most people have had a play with some other cars on the road at somepoint...I don't see the point in rallying your car around all the time, but some people do. I think it's nice to just chill and cruise around most of the time (that's mainly because i drive a 1.4 corsa, and if i try to drive fast my car just makes a loud noise but doesn't go anywhere )

tbh its less the physical age of someone and more the mental. I have "raced" before, but thats a word that covers a wide variety of situations & cunjures a bad image mentally its not nescecarily anything like that in real life.

A friend who was wealthy had a subaru p1 as his first car never crashed it or anything. He was 17 and drove it sensibly.

I know someone who drove his £200 ford fiesta like a cock and crashed it 3times in his first year.

I had mine @ 19yrs old.

TBH it was more 25-35yr old trying to race me than me trying to race them.

It was so much fun hitting the limiter in 5th tho loved that car!

i still do it and i'm 22 although i had a bloke that looked about 28-30 try and race me in his accord type r so it's not just young lad's more men in general
