lost 34lbs in the last 18 months from swimming 25km a week, almost completely cutting out alcohol, doing weights and situps every day too. My weight has been about the same for the last few months, but i can tell that im gaining muscle and losing fat so i dont really care that the number on teh scales is staying the same.

Shit picture this but nevermind,

That is a representation of 5pound of fat (yellow one) and the red is 5 pound of muscle, it real life you can really see the difference in size.
Moreal of the story, don't concentrate on your weight, muscle ways more, that fat, however it is more dense so you may weight the same still but look smaller, as you require.

You'll regret saying that when the professionals see this thread!

Why?

"They" (the hardcore gym goers) do not use the term tone as its misleading etc

Got a holiday in Bali, hopefully a holiday in India, a wedding and a honeymoon to 'tone' up for

You need to erase the term tone from your vocabulary then

I've been doing the 'Cambridge Diet' for the last 13 weeks....

Lost about 2 stone 13lb..... my waist size has gone from a 40 inch to a 32/34. Well happy now. Just want to lose another stone to get me down to 11 stone.

Last few weeks I've been doing a lot of exercise like jogging (as I want to start playing football again and my 'obesity' made my fitness slump ). Sit-ups are paying off as well as the flabby skin is getting quite toned

WTF is the cambridge diet?

Im not exactly slim, but if I eat lots I stay the same & if I eat healthily I stay the same. I've been the same weight for about 3+ years

It's wierd, but annoying at the same time

I've been around the same weight for years, always been a skinny runt. I started going the gym about 18 months back to try and build up a bit. After 4 months I'd lost 11lbs so gave up, I didn't have time to be eating constantly like I'd need to to build up, so the extra exercise was just making me lose weight

It really annoys me now tho, I know I'm unfit, the only exercise I get is an hour at football every week and occasional heavy lifting at work but I worry that if I start exercising more, I'll just start losing weight again

When I started going to the gym I weighed 10st 4, after 4 months trying to build up I was 9st 7, I've not managed to get back to 10st since.

I'm forever eating junk but never put weight on, it just generally fluctuates between 9st 6 and 9st 11, really does my head in at times
