I dont care what anyone says, My MINI keeps up with a Fiesta ST no bother and i dont doubt for a minute that your Punto would aswell.

My sisters boyfriend has one and he isnt exactly a go-easy driver

But he's had a few things done since and has a bit more response now than the Mini.

ST's are slow when standard.

my punto is 9.5 to 60 which seems slow, once its rolling and out of first it is fairly quick, many would consider it boring, im not into reving the nuts off stuff though

Im sure iv told you this before but i had a punto courtesy car before and i didnt like it personally but i did like how the car made you not want to speed.

It makes you just want to cruise along and makes it so easy aswell. Untill some prick presses city steer and you all nearly die.

Nice cars to drive though, Will never forget how easy they are to drive.

Speaking of racing and Fiestas, I raced a girl in a Fiesta on Friday night, not sure what engine was in it, sounded like a derv.

So derv fiesta vs Corsa 1.2 16v limited to 3.5k rpm, I had her upto 40, then I didn't anymore but because I can't rev it proper, I was in 3rd by the time I hit 40, think I did quite well myself

Just noticed yours is a 1.9 Didnt know they went that big!

Dont think the its the point tht its slower than his mates astra its the fact that its slower than his old one!

Why would you rather have an equally as slow car that uses more fuel, that you can't turn the boost up on to go a bit faster?

1.9 turbo diesel (i think) vs 2.0 na

of course there will be nothing in it once rolling

Its just this 306 tbh, I loved my last one, pitty

Just fancied a petrol car again, just for a different experience, for the noise, the things petrol cars have that diesels dont.

Was just a passing thought, turn the boost up on this one methinks, might be as quick as the old one then.

My 2.0 n/a is significantly faster than a 130bhp td and still slightly faster than a remapped one both from a standing start and when rolling.

I can see me going back to petrol next, will have to be something with a lot of power M3 possibly.

Id rather keep my diesel than change to a smaller engined petrol car.

Doesn't feel quicker at all than my fabia.

I'd not hesitate going back to diesel again, although I would also get petrol if the car I wanted was petrol.

The stretch of private track(road) I use for benchmarking I can get to 100 far quicker.

Is yours standard 140?

It's defo quite a bit quicker than a 140 tbh.
