I was a valater for 3 years before i moved to scotland, i could wash/wax my car and it would stay the same for days depending on the weather, im not trying to be an arse or anything i just couldnt justify spending that much on what is essentially a glorified valet

Go read up on detailing world, it is nowhere near the same thing as a valet

Its not until you see a 50:50 shot, that you realise how much a detail actually does.

Detailingworld is an excellent forum, love seeing the results some people get

Looks great. Seen a fair amount of affection to details work recently - he's quite local to me. Did he do your old Evo too?

I know what detailing is but to me, its just a way of getting people to spend silly amounts of money

Some of the products cost a bomb to buy in the first place, then there's the cost of the detailers labour - it's hard graft!

I can vouch for it being hard graft, I bought a machine polisher and it's going on ebay because I got bored after doing half of the roof.

Yeh I thought it was you - was checking out his site the other day seeing as he's "competition"

Danny - Cheers, there's plans in the pipeline for it! I did a 2 day job on a Volvo V40 at the end of last week to bring it back from the dead - that cost them £300. I'm fairly cheap in comparison to a lot of others just due to being a new company - I still use the same products and methods though!

tbh 300 is cheap compared to the price of the car.... you pay that much in tax once a year.. so why not on a detail... i will have these done once ive had a respray....

Looks mint

I got the same response about just being a valet and "autoglym is just as good" from my mates when I was on about getting mine detailed, thinking some scally down the local car wash could do the same job for £12

Well worth the money IMO

It's a good job it's his money, then.
A lot of the money is paint correction. The cost of the actual wash/clay/polish will be a fraction of that. Plus, a photo probably doesn't do it justice.
