Todays useless info: 70% of people who start an apprenticeship dont finish it.

was on 7.5k on first year then 9k 2nd year 3rd year 13k and now my last year 15.5k if i get kept on ill be on 18.5k maybe more with inflation as that was the amount on paper work when i first started

Aye, Its hard going having to live on that money.
From homers alone now though, Neil can make an extra 500 a week depending on jobs/if he can be arsed.

Plumbing FTW.
Take it up IMO, get a decent qualification, will never be out of work.. at the beginning ye the money wont be great at all, but Im 18, go to the same college and doing the same course ( City & Guilds Level 2 ) as DC1990. I done my AS-Levels and couldnt be bothered with school after that, packed that in and thought Id get a trade.. Best thing Ive ever done !
Its hard work, but goes without saying, and as the old saying goes - you only get out of it what youre prepared to put in.
I was useless at practical work all throughout my schooling, and yet Ive got a real niche at plumbing ( so dont be fooled if DC1990 tells you otherwise, hes just jealous..  ) But ye, definitely it is something to look into. Im on course to pass and qualify my Level 2, so shall be moving onto my Level 3 come September, only day-release college though as Im going to be getting an apprenticeship, but Im young and can probably cope on the wage.. But also as DC1990 said, an evening course is also a very good option if you cannot afford to drop your annual salary.

you'r not a plumber with "10 weeks college trainning" yes you will get a bit of paper but you need atleast 4years site experience with a good plumber and heating enginner before you will be on good money

Im an apprentice.
I dropped wages from £375 a week to £80 a week Once im qualified i'll be on 1k a week minimum.

Are you gunna be a lead specalist, or gunna be working your backside off 7 days a week, doing all the overtime etc ? I always hoped Id be earning that sort of money, but realistically unless I have my own business, and am doing all the overtime God sends, I cant really see myself earning that much dollar p/w.
