Dont REALLY owe that much, my nan gave me the money and gave me the choice to pay it back or not. I pay it back becuase realistaclly in life you have to.

I pay everything on my own without a debt though - insurance, tax petrol etc etc

i have owned my corsa and calibra outright and i took £2k ish to finance astra and ive payed over half it back.

Never understood how it feels different with finance or not. Makes no difference to me. End up paying the money?

Always a good thing to be in credit rather than debt. But nothing wrong with a bit of debt.

Credit cards are excellent tools and a wise way to purchase things due to the protection offered. Be mad not to have one imo.

Just dont be a dick with it

I owe £0, never even had a loan.

I prefer to pay for things outright.

0000's atm because of finance on the car and family loans, however family loans don't count, just pay them back when i can.

5k finance and payed off almost a grand in 4 months, not really worried as job security is good at the moment and i can easily afford repayments.

My corsa got scrapped and i needed a car so i got a 2.5k loan, bought a 1.6 Corsa, then paying back the loan and paying insurance was too costly on apprentice wages, so i sold the 1.6 for another 1.4. I wish id just spent the full 2.5k on a decent car to start with, insted of spending 600 on car sound system stuff.

I owe about £6,000 on my car and always pay monthly on insurance.

I've always been a bit of a borrower. Don't see the harm in wanting something now instead of waiting to save, as long as you can comfortably afford the monthly payments.

Around 10k, but i can afford repayments comfortably and have something to show for it, unlike debt where money dissapears and absolutely nothing to show for it.

Same here, I don't think it's really debt if you can pay it back.

I'm selling my motorbike soon when I get the petrol tank back from the menders, then I need to give £500 of that to my dad because he paid half of the amount for my car for me.

I got a £1300 loan over a year for insurance, paid back 2 months now (£240). The reason for getting a loan instead of going monthly through the company, is it's slightly better on interest

£4000 on a loan for the car never miss a payment, and if im off sick or get sacked it will get payed for me, which is worth an extra £10 a month i think
