Can someone just clarify something?

... in the article it says the woman who was kept captive and has just been released is now 42 and was put in the cellar in 1984...

then later it says she was 11 when she was put in the cellar in 1984 and released 24 years later (making her 35 rather than 42?)

or am i getting confused?

also who's the pic of? the eldest child of the woman who was locked away?

fucked up... how was he feeding them? did they have toilets? what a life to live?

I wouldn't be surprised if there was some sort of bullshit story he was telling them down there... like originally 'There's gonna be a nuclear explosion you must stay down here' ... then him coming down and raping her with something like 'we need to breed to keep the species alive' and then the same shit carried on to 'keep them down there' - like 'it's not safe to leave this bunker, i'm immune to whats out there, but you aren't'

something stupidly shit like that, which obviously a kid would initially believe, but then later on wouldn't question as it's all they've ever known.

I'd really like to see the children that were born down there and never released until now... they'll be well fucked up, no education, no idea about the real world, no aspirations... obv be fucked up in the head, but would be interesting to see how it effected them.

- he must of been bringing down fresh toiletries and food etc...

firstly wtf and secondly I think the wife blatently knows. Maybe she couldn't have any more kids, so they hatched this plan to breed them in their basement and then keep the ones they liked.

Thats why i think he brain washed them / told them a tale about the 'outside world'... afterall most of them had never been 'outside' so wouldn't know any different and his main daughter (the original one) was sent there when 11 and could've been told an original load of crap.

In their eyes, they could've thought he was doing them a favour... like in a nuclear fall out... bringing back supplies for them to survive with... maybe only when they took 1 of them to hospital to get sorted out - they realised it was all lies and dobbed him into police.
