I know what he means - some people dont take lessons then cause injury through being shite - if you gonna do it, you have to do it safely.

You need to be or recreational standard to ride without an instructor. If you can't stop in good time and perform linked turns then you shouldn't be out on your own. End of story.

I've seen a lot of incidents involving people that shouldnt be on the slope. You can tell em a mile off. To be fair though, the instructors should tell them if they're not ready to be on the slopes on their own.

The punters don't take to kindly when you tell them they shouldn't be on the slope

just got back from going with work today. had a pretty good time! skateboarding first defo helped and i didnt end up on my arse at all

i didnt realise we were only booked for a taster session though so we didnt really get to go down the slope much except to learn the basics.. still its something im definately thinking of taking up!

would definately like to do the 3 2 hour sessions!

No, but if they had done lessons, the instructors should say whether they are / are not, ready for the slopes.
