Did a VTS the other day, custom 4-2-1 manifold with custom made 2 box system, decat, cams and decat and it made 148 bhp @ fly.
another customers with the same spec but with a 106 gti made 149.5 bhp

to be honest, most gti / vts's with cat cam 708s on Saxo Sports club make 155-160 bhp...

How different are those figures going to be for the C2 VTS and how much for all them?

cams I used were catcams 708's however anything above 150 is a bit optimistic tbh. headwork will go a long way with this spec engine though.

who mapped it?
Loads of cat cam 708 cars have made 155 ish @ fly on many different rollers... the most common mapper being 'Wayne Schofield' from chipwizards.
And that's with standard head...
exhaust system, filter, mani, cat cam 708's, and remap ...
I could find you probably 50+ cars that have this combo of mods that made 155-160 bhp and were done all around the country and run on all different rollers.
Perhaps you just didn't get the best out of the cams with your tweaks / map?

Or was the 148 bhp one with cat cams unmapped?
in which case, then you expect it to not make much power :lol and be crap fuel economy and crap idling...
People should always get a remap after fitting those cams.

fitting well - depends, I got mine fitted with a cambelt kit + water pump for £100 all in.
and mapping was £475

I mapped one, Noble motorsport mapped the other. On both engines more peak BHP was possible but only by retarding cam timing and pushing peak power higher and sacrificing torque in the lower RPM's. depends what you are after, high peak figures for pub talk or a nicer better engine to drive on the road.

so first you say anything over 150 is 'optimistic'
and now you say anything over 150 is fine, but you just chose to keep it lower and maintain lower torque. Make your mind up mate.
So as I was saying, 155-160 bhp is possible with just a set of cat cam 708s.

so a standard 1.6 16v engine will make 155-160 with just cams? no it wont.

sorry paul, just noticed what you meant in your last post. 150+ is achievable but anything over 160 is optimistic with those mods.
