They don't as they are generally trouble free - just, for the love of god, make sure it has the larger oil spray nozzle fitted (anything after late 2001 should be ok as they were chaged on the production line) or you could be looking at a new engine - like I was 2 months ago, almost £3k later it was back on the road.....

Is that just the 2.2 engine? The 1.8 is totally different isnt it!

Not strictly true about the interior/wheels. I struggled to find a 2.2 with a leather interior when buying mine.

Nicer in what way, the 2.2 is all noise and no go really and i'd imagine the rest of the car would be the same as a 1.8. Just drive them both but I don't think its worth paying the extra fuel, insurance, tax? just for a 2.2 engine.

The 2.2 is worse on fuel than the turbo too.

I drove the 1.8 and the 2.2 mate and the difference was minimal imo so I went with the 1.8.

interior and exterior there is no differences, most of the leather etc were optional extras, the SE2's came with the 17's in 1.8 and 2.2.

The europa blue SE2's came with really nice black/blue half leather interior there is lots of different spec ones out there. keep your eye out for a good one.

The 2.2 drinks fuel big time!

The 1.8 has plenty of pull tbh. I'd go for the 1.8 or go all out and get a turbo. The 2.2 doesn't make sense to me.
