we have an american pit, very very good good. Also got a westie which is bad and has a temper ,it barks and bites and generally mental. ON the other hand the american is the calmest dog ever and doesnt bite (ever) due to it been raised correct.

Its like saying because a certain type of human has been done for something they all do it. Which is bollocks .

My missus' family have 1 long leg, blue/grey pedigree Staffy, and 1 brown/black long leg crossed with a Pitbull.

Both scare the shit out of me.

dont get one, they are shit at everything lol.

they constantly pull, as that is what they are bred for. they need a lot of excercise- and im not talking an hour a day here - my german shepherd is the best dog ever, i love them so much, i'd talk any one who wants one out of getting one, if they still want one, then they deserve one lol

There is noithing dangerous about a staffie who has been raised right, we got ours as a stray once when my friends dad found her. She soon got used to us and now I couldnt immagine being without her.

If you encourage your dog to attack anything it sees when your out for a walk because you think its cool then you cant blame the dog for thinking its being cool when it attacks a person.

I know 3 different staffies, and the only one thats a nuisance is the one that isn't looked after proper.

The other 2 are fine, soft as shit.

A staffordshire bull terrier has a bite pressure of 1200psi.

Fuck having a family pet that could chew your arm off if you were 'playing around' with it...

its not the dog, its the owner
you can bring up a golden retriver to be a killer. its a "dog" at the end of the day.
the owner is always to blame

at the person who said a Staffie is a hunting dog.

A close family friend has bread staffie as long as I can remember and I can categorically state that not one of them has had a bad bone in its body. I am very much a believer that it is how the animal if cared for that ultimately determines its behavioral traits. Yes the breed has a bit of a chavvy image but it is the mongo owners who 9 times out of 10 bring up dogs that you hear about turning on people. Staffies in fact are regarded by the Kennel Club to be a fantastic family pet which are exceptionally good with Children.
