We used to had a bengal, did random backflips. Was a real nutter like. Was sitting on my window ledge and fell off and broke its leg. Was good watching it climbing the christmas tree with a stookie!
When my bro was born we had to get rid of it though

Poor Teoh.
Hope he's on the mend.
When one of mine was neutered a couple of weeks ago they shaved off about half of the whole left flank, yet the incision is only about 20mm long. Think they do it oversize so there's no risk of hair getting in the wound.

Common problem with pedigree's defects like this.
As for the fur wouldnt you rather have him like that and find out what is wrong or not know at all?

It's not the risk of getting hair in the wound it so they can clean the area correctly and skin is alot easier to clean the fur. This helps prevent infection.

Pedigree are all slighty inbred to help hold genetical traits.
