I went to Leeds in 2001 and Glastonbury in 2002.
I think a lot of people that go do so because its deemed hip and they claim to have embraced a new way of life/found themselves etc.
It was just a bit too much for me, long way to travel obviously from York and the fact you have to get there a few days in advance to get yourself pitched somewhere that isn't in a field miles away! So that was a couple of days of pretty much nothing to do, you can only walk round and look at stalls and freaks for so long. Theres no denying I saw some amazing acts and enjoyed what I saw, it just felt like inbetween it was a boring experience. Leaving was a pain in the arse too.
For someone local like yourself the hasle isn't as great, it just wasn't as good as dreamt it would be from years of watching on the tv.

180 isnt so bad, considering they are on ebay for 500 for 2!
They were 155 face falue, mine were 162.50 from a ticket site, so 180 isnt soooo bad?
Dont know weather to take the missus' nephews or sell the tickets for a profit... tempting.

FFS! Found out I read the line up wrong! Was shown as if its the Reading line up so I've bought tickets for Saturday by what it says on there, but the Saturday Leeds line up is the Friday Reading line up!
FFS!
