Paul (or anyone else) you seem to know a fair bit.
Been looking into learning to ride myself. I'm 20 so would want to do the CBT then A2 license (the restricted one) and get myself a Honda CBR600 restricted back to 33BHP for at least a year.
Does that sound resonably sensible?
Also, have I got to do the Theory and Hazard Perception again?

I'm literally talking about not jumping straight on the R6... not waiting years.
To be honest it'd be a waste to ride the bike completely slowly all the time...

I've already done my CBT. You don't have to restrict it to 33bhp until 2012
I think i'll just get a R6, get used to it - which shouldn't take long as I did Motocross for 2 years, and had a moped, so i'm not completly new to bikes.

You will have to restrict it for as long as you don't have a full bike license, CBT or not.

I'll be taking my full licence later this year, and then getting the bike.

From what ive read you definately need to do the Theory And Hazard Perception test for Bikes. Even if you have a full car license, seems odd but suppose can see the sense.

Yep, spoke to a guy at a learner centre and he said the same, but its the bike version instead so slightly different.
Pain as I thought I could learn to ride in like 4 days and that'd be that, not wait for a theory

Aye, not long at all.
Is the stuff you've had to learn that much different to the car theory?

Similar in some respects. Obviously road markings etc will all be the same. Mainly observation questions ive found.
