Another option is to ring the RAC / AA and they will give you membership there and then.

Afterall, even if u do get in to the car, how are you planning to start it with no tools or Jump leads?

Jump start, or if there is a Halfords/car spares near by your going to need to purchase a battery

No chance that the battery will 'recover' enough to get a start imo

You can let it charge if you want, but jump starting is a much better idea, will just start the engine straight away so you can drive on home!

Once the alternator is running they normally recover quickly. So maybe 10 - 15 mins of driving should do it.

What do others think?

because its a golf and when you dont use the locks for more than 3 months they pack up and go home!

if you leave it long enought the window regulator will snap and the window will fall done and you shall gain access............

i used to get around this by not locking my doors before i had a car that was worth anything.

I was surprised on my skoda how easy it was to open after taking of the door/glass rubber.

Surely the sidelights should alert you they are left on, sure it's turned on/working?

If it's anything like mine, it's filled with random dirt and you can't get the key in
