Well said, how has any kid got a chance in life with a mother like that, she's already got 2 kids that she doesn't want yet is trying for another, it's as if these people get kicks out of recking kids lives, then once they've done damage, they're not interested anymore

(not meaning you btw)

All the money in the world won't prepare you for some of the things you come up against tbh, it's not a glorified babysitting service.

My old dear has watched this sister and brother since Olivia was basically just born and Darren was 1. They've been with us for about 2 years and now we're just about to go through the cattle market of adoption. I dread to think the state my mum will get in the day they're taken away tbh.

My auntie and uncle adopted 2 kids 2 years ago. Ryan who is 6 and Natasha who is 8. They're the coolest kids ever.
Seemed to have no problem fitting in to the family and settling down.

i disagree, it iss a job a the end of the day.you'd find very few foster carers who do it for the kids, they just prefer to work from home and get paid good for it. just my opinion, not all foster carers.

Put it this way if my mum had her way we'd be living like little house on the prairie with kids sleeping in drawers. She's tried and failed to keep every single kid shes had here.

There's a picture of every single kid she's childminded/fostered/godmothered/auntied/looked at sideways in the hall, we're going to need a bigger hall fairly soon

Not allowed to Strick, i don't know if that's a universal law but it's one the social work dept we deal with refuse to waiver on. Partly for her own sake as well as we would end up keeping every one and you can't let the emotional attachment over ride the fact there are thousands of couples out there that can't have kids that could give them a great quality of family life.

Yip my mum works as a full time childminder and my dad is a contracts supervisor for a building company as well as still working on the tools at the weekend.

Social work offer you just about everything from Digital Cameras, furniture, Computers anything really and they've refused the lot.
