Work - Small research agency (from home just now)
What I do - Research consultant (design of research projects with clients, set-up of fieldwork, project management, analysis, client debriefs etc)
How I got the job - Used to do similar for Royal & SunAlliance until got fired few old colleagues had set-up this small agency and gave me a break going very nicely.

Work - North Court Developments Ltd

What I Do - Commercial Director, basically all commercial aspects of small residential development company in the North East of England.

How Did I Get The Job - Basically set the company up off the back of several small, personal developments deals as a means to invest the profit made in a more structured vehicle.

I work in accounts at their headoffice helping the financial running of four venues, a hotel, two niteclubs and a pub.

I got the job internally when i was working behind the bar at one of the clubs

Work - hospital pharmacy tecnichian


What do I do - Visit patients coming into the wards to ensure all of their medication is correct and they are happy with it/need anything. Also do the usual dispensing stuff along with some manufacturing of IV drugs.

How i got into it - wanted to use my a levels for something so applied and got the job and did the extra training/courses whilst at work

i work at Glenegles Hotel Activities Schoolin the stables
i am a level 1 groom and look after the horses that people keep there on livery.
i went to college and studied equine studies for two years and have worked with horses ever since

Work - Morgan Stanley Credit Card Services.

What i do - Fraud Prevention and Investigation Officer

How i got the job - Applied for Marketing, Got the job and was promoted to Marketing Manger then applied internally to become a part of the fraud team.
Stressful at times but pleased with how far iv got at 19.

Work- Oil & Gas UK (apprentice) Soon to be recruited by an oil exploration company to finish my training & progress into a career.

What I do- Instrument Technician - Repair & maintain industrial measuring devices for pressure, flow, temperature, PLC's, control valves etc

How I got into the job- Applied for it, sat some tests, interview, done a whole load of college & qualifications....with plenty more to come, its a job where i'll continually be learning & progressing.

    Work: NHS (High Wycombe General Hospital)
    What: Trainee biomedical scientist in cytopathology
    How: Was off work (at my current part time job) with a broken foot and came across it one day when in the bookies browsing the local job section in between reading the racing post. Just thought I'd apply for the job and got it

    Part time job
    Work: Pub in Aylesbury
    What: Serve people alcamahol/socialise with my friends/let customers buy me drinks/general banter with customers etc
    How: Word of mouth and needed a summer job when at uni. Popped in whilst the pub was being refurbished seven years ago and got chatting to one of the builders- the manager came out and offered me the job straight away without an interview as he said I seemed like an outgoing, friendly person And seven years I'm still here part time- it's great just going in to socialise with my friends

    I'm a Train Dispatcher for Arriva Trains Wales. Basically I wave trains off, deal with the punters and speak to the signaller every now and again lol
    Got it through the usual application, did help I'd worked there on my work experience, was bored of being a McDonalds Shift Manager

    I see quite a few people here work on the railway
