If you've a complaint make it to me, otherwise kindly be quiet.
Re the car I personally would refuse to pay if you were claiming that off me. I've also experience of using companies like these for a third party claim similar to yours as the repairer offered another Lexus while my girlfriends was in. I can tell you, the slightest sign of them not being paid you will end up with the bill. They were phoning me daily asking me to cover the shortfall and recover it myself. All because the garage suggested it - I would assume because they get a nice backhander.
I've also got a dislike for anything that costs more than it should where insurance is concerned. Anything other than fixing your car and looking happy just harms the industry.
And I think assistance companies like this, PI soliciters are just leeches. They'll faff about for weeks writing to each other costing the insured £30 per time just scratching each others backs. It's a disgrace and it ultimately costs the consumer more when all is said and done.

I didnt think it was a goer either really, hence asking. Just wondered if anyone had any dealings with said company. It was put to me on a forum, use the company I work for, I can sort you out with something nice for the few days yours is in. Sounded appealing, but I have my doubts

Could be achievable if they book and get the hire company to invoice it as an equivalent car but then wangle a free upgrade to something better.

True but if that guy is chasing Colins business, it seems daft that he needs to set himself up to need to wangle. Reeks of commission in my opinion.

they'l pay a hire company to provide colin with a car, claim the money from colins insurance who'll claim from the third party insurer. (obvioulsy remove colins insurer if theyre not involved) will be difficult to get a better car as there are too many people to refuse to pay

When someone crashed into my parents car, our local BMW dealer told dad to go through this company.
Replaced a 3 series with a big silly merc for 2 weeks, and cost the other party £2,500!
My Dad didn't realise it was so stupidly expensive or would have just took one of the dealers cars instead at £10 a day
The other party can refuse to pay and if thats the case your stuck with a huge bill for a hire car!
My folks would never do it again, luckily the woman at fault accepted full blame and just told her insurance to sort everything pay up etc.

ive been reading this thread and i have a question. its all hypothetical by the way.
My little 1.2 hatchback gets crashed into...now as a hire car i get another 1.2 hatchback- the others partys insurance pay out hassle free?
now same situation but i get a big 2.0 sports car instead to hire...then their insurance is going to kick off?
