Passed my theory first time, been looking at booking tests and they've all been no more than a 2 week wait..
Hoping to pass my test first time, it must be awefull paying the £48.50 and then getting told you've failed
plus the lesson before hand and the hire of the instructors car

18 lessons in the UK,
3 hours in the US from filling the form in to apply.
(All you have to do for the VA license is drive around cones in a car park and pass a theory test)
Bare in mind the car is an auto as well so even easier.

I paided £13 7 years ago was not the cheapest but about the best instrutor that me and my mates had.
One my mate went with missed his test date as he got arrested the night before for ABH for giving a bloke a kicking for sleeping with his wife when he come home and caught them in the act.
So my mate missed his test.

I think my driving test took about 35 mins. But there was a bit of waiting before and after, so i'd say and hour to be safe...

20 lessons, but I was taking it slowly as I was already riding my bike so wasn't in a rush, was just doing the test cause it was nice to have if I needed it. Could have done it much quicker having already got a couple of years road experience.

i had 18 hours in total, got full marks on my theory test and hazard perception which is weird as i had never practiced the H/P part before
got 11 minors on my practical though 2 of which were the questions based on the car, so where do you find the correct psi for the tyres and i said log book for some reason

^^ ye basically im starting to learn soon so just wondered how many lessons you booked etc.
loads seriously though, everyone is different... dont budget or think you can do so many lessons btw... you could be slow at learning or pick it up really easy
took me ages.. i did 3 hours a week sometimes and still did 5 tests...but id didnt fail on loads of stuff.. i failed on hitting curb just as i reversed around corner with about 4 other minors on one test. Didnt get anymore than 7 minors i dont think.... i got my car insured when i was learning so was able to pratice a bit in that..so you could also try doing that.
think i paid over £1000 in lessons £500 on driving tests.... prepare for the worse
