i think people are over looking how much of an achievement it is to do that extra few mph, think of the distance traveled in 1 second at 198.7, and how long the run way is.

the car is awesome! it is well built, thats where the money goes. think were missing the point somewhat

edit: martins car

For those not in the know, read about the development of the Veyron on thier site. It explains the sheer ammount of power needed to get a car to those speeds really well

martins car, no doubt the tigra is great especially as it looks liek a home made afair, and he must be brave to do those speeds in basically a tigra with a c20let.

Wasn't that the tigra everyone slated for having a dodgy looking exhaust manifold, even though it was tempory, and still was doing a job of performance.

I wonder if those same people will appear to slag off its performance times...............

No, different car. You're thinking of Specky's. The one which did 181mph, I believe is that ginger colour.

Saw this on the M1 (northbound near Leicester) on the back of a trailer at 4:30pm yesterday. Remember seeing it at the pod last late year with one HUGE Turbo! Any idea of the power? It was struggling for traction at the pod so wasn't doing very good times.
Also noticed it in the carpark at last years TOTB.

you seem to be implying it would be hard to hold the steering wheel at 150mph with one hand

you could probably hold it with no hands safely

Good results theer from the Tigra, shame I couldnt make it due to corsa being a complete knobhead. I would have only hit 170 at a push so 180+mph ia a really good achievement.

How did all the other Vauxhalls do?
