The 1.4's are identical bar the rear discs in looks and I know loads of people round me with 1.2's running them wheels!
Keep with the 1.8 mate, I'd sooner do what you have planned than put in a Z20 LET!

Cheers for the comments guys, i know the bonnet looks a bit off cock, but it is sooo difficult to line up properly and it wont sit down at the back,
but hey i love it, im thinking of getting some eyebrows and doing them CF to match the bonnet
and yep staying with the 1.8, much rarer in tuned form, and the z20lets are getting like tampons - every cunts got one 
and the manifold is direct from piper and they dont make them anymore so yup quite rare now
