Love mine I went from a comfy Astra GSi to this and can't even rember why I bought the Astra in the first place!
You will find the build quality to not be the same as a more premium car but it was designed primarily for fun?
I do find at times though I will put my foot through the floo when I drive my mums car as the clutch is a little brutal
If you do shit loads of miles then it may not be the car for you as it can get a tad buzzy but I seem to be ok with mine doing best part of 800 miles a week now days

182 Clio's Put 182 in the search box!
They seem to be coming down in price since the last time i looked at them!!
7th one down isn't far from me and looks mint.Maybe a lower mileage one would be better?? I might have to sell the scooby due to me not using it much instead of going to work so mayeb i'll have to drive another one

you drive a Corsa and can't make your mind up whether to bu a 1.6 due to petrol usage? Now that gay in my opinion
Whaaaaaaaaaat? I have had a 1.6 for 2 years so check ya facts! I was contemplating a c20xe and wanted to know what they do to the gallon compared with a 1.6 sport as I do quite a few miles. French cars are gay my opinion and I am allowed one this is a thread not a follow the sheep and all say the same thing situ! and as for Derby County I am not a glory man u /chelsea / arsenal fan that thinks they're a true fan when they never go to the games!. Football is all about money nowadays and we dont have a deal that is why we are bottom,if the man uniteds and arsenals had as much money as we did they would be exactly the same!

But it more than makes up for the drive and its a real hoot to drive, I'vve done nearly 8k in mine in the last four months and can't stop smilling every time I drive it
well done on using the worst pic ever

The one I went to look at today was at the most trusting car dealership in the world
Me and my dad had a look round it and asked if we could have a test drive. He put the trade plate in the window and tossed us the keys
Didnt ask for id or anything
Was in mint condition and he will neogociate on price
Atm it stands at £7800 plus:
> 12 months tax
>years MOT
>12 month warrenty
car has FRSH, 36,000 miles and both cup packs.
Just not sure if I like racing blue or not
Going to have a look at a fiesta st then its decision time
Drives supercharged Tec with torque

power and handling, the 182 will win hands down.
i'd say get the 182 if you love to chuck the car about, will be a good laugh and put a big smile on your face.
the fiesta st is more refined IMO, still pretty good handling but is much more of a ''bulky'' car in comparison to the clio.
my one problem is that if i ever see a clio i automatically think of it as a 1.2-1.6 with hardly any power you instantly know an st from the oversized spoiler, bodykit and wheels. but i guess that's due to lack of knowledge of the models to be honest.

the st will handle just as good as the 182 but the clio has the extra power if they bring the st 185 out that should be a better buy than the clio

st185 is just an upgrade package from ford, said it was the best all round drive (most fun to be had) in evo magazine.
but that's 18k
a standard fiesta st will not handle as good as a renault clio 182 IMO, my fiesta has the same suspension set-up as the st, albeit more weight from the engine in the st, but nothing some eibach springs won't cure.

where you getting 18 k from you can pick up a new st for 11k and the kit costs 1800 pluss the fitting http://www.fordfiestast.co.uk/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=109860&page=3&fpart=3&vc=1

id have a 182 over an st any day of the week. if people think the driving position of the clio is bad then what do they think of the st, feels like its on stilts....
as for not wanting it for a daily hack, drove to dieppe in france then to paris in mine in a day, was a really comfy drive, so much more comfy than my corsa ever was in standard form.
