no, that was the normal vxr

in this months evo they tested the 888 vs the 197 cup vs the st185 vs a lancia intergralle evo and iirc the corsa won

From the way I read it, it implied the ST185 as being the writers favourite

I'd have a MINI Cooper S Works anyhow Although its even more of a rip off than the VXR

But the base models 16k plus a few extras... Leather, 18's, Mettalic paint etc your up to 18k already. Thats how much new cars like that are these days

I priced an Astra VXR the other day and by the time you fitted 19's, paint and leather you were up to 21K! A Golf GTi Edition 30 starts at 22.3K and a Leon Cupra starts at 19.7k

This is what I mean, if you put it into prospective. For the money you've getting some serious FWD performance for a new car. 225bhp and 1200kgs. And one that, by the sounds of it, you get an exhaust you can actually hear and kicks out some seriously nice noises

I don't think its overpriced for what your getting, I just personally couldn't justify that sort of money for what is in essence a supermini. Astra VXR, Focus ST etc .medium sized hatch back would be more likely but a supermini for a sixth of the purchase price of my house seems ridiculous.

Oh yes, I do totally agree with you. But unfortunetely if you want that sort of performance from a brand new car thats what you've got to spend.... if you want to keep the warrenty anyway

They are, but they've got triple eight stickers on them.

You could buy all the bits elsewhere for less than the combined package from 888.

You'd actually have enough spare for a Quaife diff, which would make it an immense car, just by buying the wheels elsewhere for £775

If you bought all the bits seperate to the car rather than an official 888 model how does that work with the warranty? Is it still valid because they are approved parts by 888?

Only if it's fitted by 888 or VXRPC I'd imagine.

You'd be amazed at the amount of people who buy a brand new car and don't GAF about the warranty too
