I tend to stutter some times, but I really try. I always feel good to help people.

we had a guest speaker and my lecturer approached me and whispered to me to thank him on behalf of us all. luckily I didn't buckle lmao.

what you studying? Illustration or graphics? year 1,2 or 3?

I think maybe the bottle needs to stand out more, as the two most important things on that are the company branding and especially the product branding, and that is what consumers will primeraly look for when purchasing this product.

At the moment the bottle kind of fades into the background for me. Although the general idea is a great one and fits it perfectly.

As already mentioned the bottle needs to stand out more, currently the yellow "exploding" out near the top is getting mixed up with the bottle and its overall form can't be made out.... you need to maybe move the main source of the explosion to the top of the bottle?

Not sure on the lime green arrow... maybe make it a more darker, earthy green, currently for me it doesn't work, it's too contrasting, too bright.... either you make it all big an contrasting or you keep it to a smaller element like the plant at the back in lime green which works very well. (The actual arrow though does work very well)

The flower at the top needs to be rotated slightly, it looks to much like a copy and paste of the bottom one at the moment, change the scale or rotation to fix this (good example is what you've done with the hearts). Also the bottom flower would be nice in the same colour as "spreading...." and come from the s on the bottom left end (if that makes sense). If you do that... lose the star or maybe move it further up and right with a few smaller ones around it.

Do you really need the company logo again if its on the bottle? It works quite well there but I can't help thinking what you could do with the space if you lost it..... or even move it to the bottom with the main slogan or top right away but still prominant.

That is all for now

I would say you need it.

As that along with the bottle are the two most important things on that whole image to get across to the consumer.

Agreed but, currently it is slapped amongst an explosion of randomness from the bottle, the logo itself is maybe something which shouldn't be in there?

I'd like to see it moved away either down at the bottom or along the top... Also, it is on the bottle, agreed its not very big or bold on there but maybe you could play with the bottles form to give it some more presence, have it as the centre of the explosion? Use the warp tool to blow it out like a fat bulging stomach?

At the moment though when I look at the image my eyes are drawn straight to the logo. I know its kind of in amongst all the other bits but it does stand out for some reason.

Although that may channge once the bottle is more visable and it may draw the eyes away from the logo in which case your suggestion would be good.

Yeah mate, I do Industrial Design & Technology but it involves a lot of graphic design and I also do it for companies freelance.

Don't know if you were going for this approach but it's a 3d bottle image, you've got contrast and depth in it because of the shadows and intuitively as humans we know what it is... your vectors however are simply flat and maybe could do with either overlaid block colours adding depth or maybe actual bitmap gradients.... up to you on that front.

But then maybe again this could be what makes the bottle stand out, it's the 3d image, bold and with depth and the explosions simply taking place around it.

Some points to ponder on

I agree with you there, though I am enjoying my course. Just hate the documenting research bit for the sake of meeting the criteria for a grade. Briefs aren't too bad on my course, just did a live brief for the Royal British Legion and the Poppy, a spokesperson came in and crit'd our work.

Im now on the new project which is screen based media - Flash, I've got to storyboard what I want to do now...

had a thought about your poster, maybe have the bottle radiating that goodness? so its not lost within all the brushes etc. I no people tend not to like filters but I think it might work here if used subtly.

edit:

Not sure how much of the page is missing on the image here, but maybe increase the gab between the tagline & the imagery, meaning you might have to slightly decrease the size of the bottle to cater for the space. and maybe the red flower at the top to orange?
