Recovery wise, well the pins are now out of his leg, and hes back at work for 2-3 days per week (still going to work at Red Dogs the other days ). He has a huge scar down his leg now, and he's still on lots of drugs as the bone isn't bonding as well as it should be. Plus all the metal in his leg now, he's finding winters harder and his leg hurts most of the time these days

I used to have a Ducati 748R which i raced at club level. The best bike i've ever had the pleasure of racing.It made the most amazing sound, handling was absolutely spot on. Had to sell on though as i was scared of crashing it and never being able to afford to repair and go racing again.

Jimmy, i'd rather the 749 over the 916.
Same with the new 848 over the 1098.
Never gonna be able to use the bike to its full capibilities, and that little smaller 748 is meant to be an overall better ride with a more revier engine. It had its faults, but most faults were corrected by the end of the line. I'd own a 748 happily. Got a really good review of them.
I'd go racing too if funds allowed, but thats always what its down to, money. I'd do everythhing, cars, bikes, boats, jetskiing, I love it

Mine never let me down and you knew you were on something special, especially the R model. It came with the (at the time) best spec Ohlins forks and shock, adjustable steering head, titanium conrods, slipper clutch and revved just like any Jap 4 cylinder bike, well apart from my 07 R6 which it just silly 
Mine had a bit more carbon than that pic, and had Termignoni's which created just about the best sound ever!
The 848 looks interesting especially in white. I might have to book a test ride, although with my baby-face they'll think i'm taking the piss

Jimmy, I know, the white one looks stunning it really does. I think its a lot of the "riders" choice of new bikes, and the 1098 more for the weekend warrior pub rights person (or the other end, the really quick know what your doing riders).
I love em, but would still rather above pictured Benelli. For £6500-£7k too, ok its not as fast as a GSXR or CBR or R1 etc, but look at it, its stunning. It'll handle better too, its much lighter. I NEED one

....And you don't see many Benelli's on the road either. I've only seen one.
As for the 1098, i've seen a few at a biker cafe i sometimes ride out to. Saw one in Tricolor colours But all the riders are the gayest ever. Just looking at thier chicken strips shows they only ever polish it and take it to the cafe for a show off haha

Admittidly, a couple of years ago, they had a few issues, Benelli went bust, getting parts was a nightmare.
But now its owned by a huge Chinese firm, parts are available, and they've sorted out the issues.
Even talks of entering WSB and MotoGP!!!!!!
I don't like red, and the yellow was a pearly paint. DOnt do that one either. I just want a green one....

Im annoyed, my front tyres are hard (BT020s) comps and no matter how far i chuck it over, I still have the new tyre pointy bits sticking out. The rears are long gone, but theres one row of front strips I cannot bloody get to. Didn't have the problem on the SV though???
Im not brilliant rider, but im buggered if im having large chicken strips

Fronts are the same for everyone. Get it on a trackday then they will disappear! On the road, you don't have the same amount of room into and out of a corner as you do on a track, so there fore it can be leant over further as you'll be going quicker.

Oh don't go there, im BUSTING to get on a track day. Can't do it on the bandito though as its my work hack.
SV lost a few teeth off the clutch though, and not 100% if we've got them all out, so a bit dangerous to track, but still very much considering turning that into a track toy, try keep up with some SS600's and annoy them on a poncy 70bhp twin 
Missis wants to do her test too, so thats another brucey bonus (NO chance 2-3 years ago, now she WANTS to do it )

Still got her yup, still awaiting insurance money to replace the upper panels (not prepare to pay out of my own pocket).
Then I'll be getting a nice new noisy can for the bandit.
SV will be repaired (only cosmetic) and either sold and funds used on a holiday, or will keep it as a 2nd bike (just in case as im after a new job outside london)/track day toy that I wont need to cry over should I drop it.

Never really appreciated bikes. a lot of money for lack of security if ya get knocked off. then again I spose I'm biased as my dad came off his bike just after I was born and still suffers to this day and I'm 20.

i dont know you pay all this money for some of these bikes I know the £40k ducati is going to be super fast but if you spent £10k on an zxr-1000, R1 ect ?

On a track, no R1 or such will keep up with it on a track, ONLY if the rider can actually ride it though.
£40k on a ike that is basically a slightly toned down MotoGP bike. A bit like getting a 500bhp Formula 1 car (instead of 700+) for the road.
Its the technology it has, the very best Ohlins suspension, brakes, electronic system etc....
MV's, Benellis arn't as expensive as people think, and if you think of performance per buck....
Well, as I say, £12,000 my old mans bikes up for. NO car will do 193mph for that kinda money, nor get there as fast, and be as much doing it at the same time

I've posted the 900cc above, thats the one I want.
1130, not sure on the colour scheme, the 900 looks better.

900RS Model, all carbon fibre, better brakes, better suspension, full titanium exhaust (From engine to tailpipe, weighs under 1 kilo!!!!!) etc.... I prefer the yellow one posted above though.

TRek. Ridden this bike, lovley bit of kit. Twin power low revs, but 4 power top end.
