Means all projects that involve downtime get pushed back so they can rinse the fuck out of it.

No chance all house prices will go drop, I will eat my trainers if it does. Only the very top where people have been pushing for the big money £350k+ (Thats a big money house up my way! yours will be different) will struggle to sell, its evident already, where I am & most of us are 1st time buyers, cheaper houses shouldnt suffer as competition is still strong here - there will be less people affording to lend what they could before as banks are tightening the belt on leanding, people will just have to cruise it out like we did when maggie was in power & fucked things right up, though this wont get anywhere as bad!!

I'd say it's the other way round Colin, the cheap first time houses will struggle to sell, and the highest priced won't - Most people in that ranged aren't mortgaged highly unlike many first time buyers. TBH this has been coming for years, and it's mainly down to the banks lending people too much money with no hope of paying it back, vicious circle - Can see a shed load of people declaring bankruptcy this year. And a lot more businesses going into liquidation.

i dont know what impact this will have on the financial sector but i have it on good authority that the chairman of Black Horse Finance has walked this week amid talks of the company collapsing. I know for a fact they are big in the Motor Financing side.

House prices won't drop here, at the very worst (best if you are trying to buy) the high end will slow down.

Read last night that we shouldn't really be effected as much as the rest as Europe as we're having a really good economy recently.

I really am not worried about it at all. I think its the people who keep talking about it and "this is gonna happen" blah blah that sparks the fears off.
