council have pulled their fingers out though and just turned up with some sandbags

Now sure what use they are going to be, think they'll try to block off the flow coming form the fields.

Happened in our town recently when it pissed down, the local sewer/drains over flowed, the town centre roads were covered in shity and paper etc, was disgusting.
My mate rang me and said he was stuck at work as it was about 6" deep round the building and he didnt want to wade through shitty and pissy water.

Apparently it stank to, so glad i work in the next town

At the moment this is just rain water off the fields. If it gets that bad though Im getting back in my car and going home

Thats what I wanted to do (hence why the hose is out there!!) but for some reason my mum doesnt want to annoy them
