I think they're alright. Power wise its ok, figures are pretty average. In the real world unless you've driven something pretty fast it will still feel quite nippy.

Slower than a 106GTi though, or I'd have one.

BTW the ST retails for £13,800 new . I know you can manage hefty discounts, but bloody hell .
Options really are a Seat Ibiza 1.8T FR (Easily tuned I'd imagine), Clio 182 (2005), Corsa C 1.8 (similar 0-60 as the fiesta surprisingly and could save £2k), 206 GTi 180(2005), or a 2005 CTR.
Out of that lot, I think my choice would be the Civic as it'll hold it's value better being a bigger car, a honda, and the fastest out the lot .

You like the feel of the interior, the looks of the exterior, the age, milage and price... I'd say your mind sounds pretty much made up!
I know I prefered all those things of the ST's than the Clio Cups I looked at. The only thing the ST lacked was a little bit of extra power, although it's quick enough to get me around and the ST165/185 upgrades are there if you want it.

tbh, im not overly bothered on power. if i owned one for 3 years, i bet i cud count the number of times id race a similar car (clio 182, etc) on one hand
that doesnt bother me anymore. obviously, now im 21 with 3 yrs ncb, insurance is cheap but its more about car as a package, to me the fiesta looks better than the clio and has a nicer interior, yeah its not as fast and not sure on handling.
went out in one tonight as was really impressed. yes its not "throw ya head back" fast but it has more than enough for the times when i want to give it a blast, and took it down some twistys and the steering felt very responsive.
i think the other two cars im considering at the moment would be a clio 182 or a astra 1.8 sri (new shape sport hatch) but clio would have to be slightly older to get within 8k and astras are slightly more expensive aswell

I said almost exactly the same to Corsa Godfather just yesterday about not being kneck snapping fast, but fast enough to enjoy.
I traded my 1.8 Astra (mk4 coupe) in for the ST and feel the Fiesta is a much nicer car inside, outside and to drive.

Never been a fan. Think they look very tacky with the stripes and the 'bodykit' doesnt really work for me either. Each to their own though

Looking into one of these, really like them, Especially in white with the side stripes, imo look miles better than the blue ones!
Also read somewhere that from march, fords will be offering performance packages, think it includes chipping, suspension, induction system and exhaust

They look ace I think!! Always had a soft spot for them.
I don't have one myself but I've driven a few, handles very nicely, close to zero bodyroll, nice interior. Yeah the car doesn't seem that quick for a small hatchback with 150bhp. Probably one of the slowest modern hot hatches about (if it is even classed as a hothatch)
Don't listen to all these punto/saxo owners saying its tacky and unreliable What do they know???

Dads virtually always had fords, and only ever had problems with one, the last 2 weve had have been spot on, the focus weve got now is extremely reliable, all its ever needed was new tyres, brake pads and a service, had it 4 years now, and will probably have it for another 4!

So 15k for your car and you think its better built than the ST
I would rate the build qualityof the fords over the fiat and your was more expensive
