When I had my Lab/Collie cross my Brothers Jack Russell was introduced, my dog was 13 and the JR was a pup. Took some getting used to before my dog accepted it and then they would follow each other around. He was never ok around kids though, snappy little bugger!

A dog can't be a pet and a guard dog its one or the other.

Everything else isnt a problem!

Rubbish.

Our dog is a pet, but if anyone tried to harm any of us or went to attack us it would go crazy.

thats completely natural and part of the bonding between pet and owners...

A gaurd dog is something which is designed to take down intruders and be threatening by nature

I'd class that as guarding TBH...in a home environment anyway.

No they arent. They are well built dogs and can be brought up to be vicious...but then so can a lot of legal breeds currently out there.

The dog will be a pet and also a guard dog at work, but will sleep at home

yeah do you really know they are pitts

also they are illegal which means can not be bred, have to be muzzled at all times outr in public, need to be insured, registered to cops and tattooed.

pits are execellent pets just need to be trained correctly. But if there was ever an event where it attacks thechild or kills her/him you willing to go to jail for having a dog that is not even allowed in the uk.

i bet there not even pitbulls, i bet there irish staffies which are bigger then the uk staffie lol. thats how pitbulls come into the uk as they register them as irish staffie, as far as i know pitbulls are legal in ireland
