600bhp+ through the rear.... brave or stupid
My old GTSt was bad enough with around 300+bhp
PS... I've had both and a GTR is the much better car. fact
Transmission losses.... On a 32 anyway the car is RWD untill it loses traction, so not really an issue if you have grip, if you dont, its still a winner.
I used to be fishtailing up roads in 2nd and 3rd in my old GTSt, with my (more powerfull) GTR you feel the traction going at the rear with a slight wiggle before the fronts come in and help out.... hell of a lot quicker and grippy that the GTSt. I know what i prefer, but you may like drifting about

yeh i like drifting and the fastest skyline in the uk is a gtst rwd so shows gtrs arnt all that, im not saying gtrs are no good the obviously are but i didnt want 4wd and didnt feel i needed help when i loose traction, the gtst is more of a drivers car as it takes more driving and i get more plesure out of it and a great buzz, some nice saggy slicks on the back wont give me any traction issues.

so you are going to use wrinkle walled tyres on the road?? please try Are you building a drag car or street? or drift
John B's project GTSt skyline is hardly a GTSt it may have started life as a GTSt but its just a tubed drag car now.... doubt there is much standard GTSt about it

plus.... i never can get my head round the phrase ' The GTSt is a drivers car' Is it buggery....
Have you even driven a standard 4x4 setup GTR on track or in anger out/through corners? The stock ATTESA system puts MORE power to the rear to give over streer. The GTR is a very tail happy car (as standard)
Its only on straights when the torque is shifted to the front once the rears are slipping (unless some sort of torque split device has been fitted)

I agree that JinThaMC is a fully fledged badger and your skyline does look good, but AK is far from a cock as you put it, especially as he is talking from experience of owning both cars.
so just give in yeh,

I've just tidied this up from all the abuse, I don't want to come back & see it's started again. That includes the author of the thread, no name calling from here onwards
Im sure Im not the only one who'd rather read discussion about different points of view rather than 3 pages of "nice car mate"

I'm just stating my opinion.... I'm not saying your car is shite, just your opinion of GTR's seems to be a bit off It appears you think they drive b them selfs

no its not a drag car its a nissan skyline gtst, its hopefully going to be 600bhp and its also going to be fun and id rather have it over a gtr anyday of the week, it looks better than a gtr it will be quicker than most gtr's and i enjoy it being just rwd as it will make a good drag and drift car also be good fun to drive, in standard format yes a gtr is much better than a gtst but remember this is far from standard. end of, thankyou
