Before his final lap, there was sweeping machines sent out around the entire track to get it as dry as possible.
 The track was wet when Hamilton did his lap, he was a second or 2 behind the Stig and Clarkson said if it had been dry he would of beat him.

Dried but not dry.
The times made sense to me - Hamilton is F1 championship candidate, Stig is good but not that good.

agreed, dried track - so what i know i would, still isnt the same as a dry track, cutting corners - its winning, not how you win and tbh hamilition as ian said is a f1 driver, stig would be if he was that good
