Garlic chilli is not as bad as a vindaloo, really cant see the point in ordering them other than show off's trying to be cool then cant breathe because of the heat, lol.

no its not very hot. only asked if it was hotter than jalfrezi coz i'm not really into hot curries and jalfrezi is about as hot as i go.
you're better off asking the waiter next time you are in the curry house. some places make the same dish hotter than others.

start with papadoms and all the sauces, and main is usually a chicken bhuna with pilau rice and a girlic naan. if im feeling adventurou i'll have a vindaloo.
my mates all tried phaals the other week that was funny as hell cos they were literally pouring with sweat after a few mouthfulls!

Phaal is like the ultimate Robbo, you usually have to ask for one as they don't put them on menus usually.

I'm the same, as to have a slight kick, always have a madras but find it can vary too much which does my head in if it lacks heat, but puts me off asking for it extra hot etc. Keep meaning to try a vindaloo, the best way to do it is to get a vindaloo and a cool one so you can switch and change rather than blowing your mouth off.
chicken madra,
basmati rice,
plain naan,
jug of tap water
Job done.
