That's what i mean, in 10 years people think their lives will have drastically changed (me included) when in reality we probably won't be that much further away.

Hopefully grow the business to a point where I can sell up and move abroad or go into semi retirement.
Marry my current partner doubt we'll have kids as neither of us are really keen, however alot can change over ten year period.
Basicvally I'd like to think we have a nice house, car, maybe a place in the sun and dont have to really worry about money in general

Why say that? We've been together like on off for 8 years (current 5 years stint ). We have a house together, same goals in life, same wants and needs. When you've found a soul mate, u'll understand. Until then im sorry to say you just won't get it. Its more than being in love. Its your best friend too! If we both wasn't so cautious and was like everyone else, we'd have been married years ago, but you don't need a bit of paper..
