think the camera makes them look a lot worse than it is tbh, stainless stell is very difficult to photograph properly. there will always be a slight deformation when tubing is bent anyway regardless of the method used.

a very interesting fact is that tubing which is compression bent does not have its capacity reduced anyway. if you take a section of tubing that is 1 metre long and fill it with water and measure the volume of water then put 2x 90 degree bends in the same section of tube and repeat the water measurement, the volume of water it holds is only 2% less.

In back to back tests on a dyno there will be no difference in power between a compression bent system and a mandrel bent one on 99% of cars. The design of the silencers is far more important to gas flow properties than the bend design.

Dave that looks really good, love the way youve done the backbox so it doesnt look like a manky oil drum like usual aftermarket ones...

PS - Whoever is slagging off powerflow its a franchise FFS, the guy i go to has been doing it 9 years and thats all he does, however the one in tamworth the hanger fell off the bvackbox i travel an hour to this guy for him to do, its all about the fabricator !

Anyway, back on the exhaust, looks really good .

Oh and i can see the "powerflow were going to use my current flange ", well again there obviously cowboys at that FRANCHISE, because the guy i go to doesnt do that at all for a fact.

This thread is not regarding how good bad powerflow are so would rather not.

3 dealings with the two garages, one which fell off due to rusting away got replaced but not the point, another took 3 men 3 hours to fit a back box and I had to give them ideas how to "botch" it on as they couldn't fit it! The lovely pleasent customer service, the snapping of my handbrake cable the oilly overalls on my white seats!

Says enough!

Back on topic!

I have to agree with Daniel_Corsa, I know of one powerflow franchise in Cumbra (Don't know the other one) located at West Gate Tyres. They are generally shit there and wouldn't ever use them because they knowledge sucks and if they can't make something work they will bodge it. But as previously said it's down to who makes it. There was an old guy working at West Gate (Don't know if he still does) but his work was brilliant.

Daniel_Corsa - Get yourself to VSport for an exhuast as you won't regret your visit, it is a fair trip getting there but you will be pleased when you are driving home .

i can see people have valid opions of powerflow but also they are a franchise, maybe the franchise should have better controlled its fitters, bit like McD whereever you go its more or less the same, i know its hard to do but it should be done.

ive heard of good and VERY bad powerflow system so id treat them as a indivdual garage not as a "powerflow" dealer

I really like how tight it sits against the back bumper, mine was an off the shelf system and just hung off the bottom of the bumper like an afterthought

Exhaust system looks nice, How much are you lowering it by next week? Will the rear beam not bang on that?
