No, it's the fact they are prone to burning oil, without any signs. If your mum/dad/you frequently checked it, then you wouldn't have any problems

ah, that is true, used to piss oil all over the driveway all the time, but yeah was ok if you kept checking it.

My girlfriends never used to piss oil anyway. It just used to disappear from the engine. I always kept it checked, but the previous owners didn't, and it gradually deteriorated, until one day, clatter clatter clatter.

They drink oil, My missus oil warning light came on about 10 miles from home and by the time she got back she needed a new engine. Literally no warning at all.

I'm suprised by how much oil the engine uses, but it seems to eb a common issue

Very common.

Both 2 mechanics, one standard mechanic, and one that rebuilds engines more extra, said the parts, and I quote both, "are like rocking horse shit".

I love these! Hopefully I'll upgrade to one after my 1.25 Zetec. Although the VTR just beats it to 60, the Zetec S will pull away from the saxo from 60 onwards.
