Your driving experience is counted from the day you pass your test, so if that's not going to coincide with your renewal, they won't take it as a year, even if you were learning before it.

It won't make any difference anyway, experience won't bring the price down dramatically, it's no claims bonus which does that.

I don't even know that mine came down at all when I'd been driving 1 year.

better be less than a grand i dont want to be with directline, im on my mums policy and they dont allow certain mods so ive been a bit naughty, iwould like to go with brentacre this year as i have head nothing but good things about them tbh

No it isn't, mine is counted from October 2004, when I passed my test, not July 2003, when I got my provisional in the post.

If he's on about no claims bonus, that's different, as the car could have been insured before he could legally drive, but driving experience is counted from the day you pass your test.

yeh thats what i thought, true probs wont be bothered about that then will have 1yrs ncb because its protected, cant believe we fell for the whole protected ncb con though
