It's a road car.

But sunroofs leak, weigh the car down, reduce head room, weaken the structure and create draughts/wind noise. That would be my reasons for replacing the roof with a solid panel.

What i'm interested to know is whether that is THE Cosworth Mondeo, or if Reyland have built one themselves and just happened to use a MK I shell and paint it green too...

I had no idea they'd been established that long.

Have they still got the green 4X4 Cosworth MK I Escort then, or did they roll that to death also and only bother to repair the shit looking one of the two?

Good god. I thought they'd only been about for 6 or 7 years. That's a real shock. Did he sell the MK I or does he still have it?

In about '92 or '93, a company built a green MK I Escort on a modified Sapphire Cosworth 4X4 floor pan with huge power, tarmac arches and Revolution RFXs.

A year or so later, the same company (so I was led to believe by all I spoke to about it at the time) built a Series 1 Mundano 4X4 Cosworth with Longitudionally mounted YBD and in the same green.

I remember it Jim, was in a very very old Max Power and I used to love it - was such a nice car - so you're not going mad, dunno if it was Reyland built though
