There is a problem with Paedophilia in every country, its nothing new to come out and say they are trying to hide something that is (somewhat) common everywhere. And the info you are relaying is from some Scottish MP isnt it, who got it from where? What are the figures that show its so big of a problem over there as opposed to here for example? And where is the evidence of trying to hide their problem?
You formed that judgement you relayed from what he said...and that is the media. So you're effectively doing what Steve and co/ have that you've bitched and moaned about so much

Again i've already told you exactly where i got the information from in 3 other threads which you're choosing to selectively disregard. It was from a member of the government up here. Not everyone get's there information from a tabloid paper or a newsroom full of sensationalist journalists.

Yeah, its either that or you just cant read, as I clearly mentioned above that you got it from an MP up there  My point was - which you're choosing to selectively disregarded - is where did he get his info from? Just because it came from an MP up there doesnt mean he got his info from reliable sources. Christ if I came on here repeating what half the MPs say down here say then I'd be shot down for the comments being factually INCORRECT.
So once again, you are taking your info from the media, although a highly different medium I'll give you that, yet still its not coming from any first hand or factual data that you can show anyone to be true so you're just in the same position I am in forming an opinion and posting it on here - something you've blasted Steve, myself and whoever for doing so.

You seem to think the only way you can learn about something is being force fed it by the media. Some things are just common knowledge if the media choose to report on them from whatever stand point they wish or otherwise.
There is a well known widespread problem with paedophilia in Portugal that's just the way it is, it doesn't particularly matter if a newsreader or a guy in a pair of pink underpants tells you.

BTW Hammer, I understand what you're trying to get at but you picked a bad example that has lots of true facts out there for all to see to prove its true.
TBH you wouldnt really cast any doubt on my arguement if it did happen to only be 'common knowledge' that we had won it 5 times and no facts of it were out there. I have no problem with people forming opinions in this way - but just find it laughable that you can shoot down peoples opinions when formed by reading the media, yet think its perfectly fine when formed by listening to 'common knowledge'.
