4. releaves stress from work
5. addictive
6. love the soreness of the muscles
7. socialiseing

its like saying why buy a big powerfull fast cars and modding them when at the end of the day your still gonna get from A 2 B

TBH i'd much rather spend a few hours slaving away in the workshop. Thats a pretty good workout, and your actually getting something done. Not just lifting things and putting them down again for the sake of it.

General fitness, staminer for football. I need to lose a bit of weight I put on due to medication I was taking, and also to build up a bit. So fitness and vanity.

Everything in life apart can be deemed as pointless though, alpart from breathing, eating, drinking and making babies. So its all personal preference.

I go to the gym to exercise my heart, no matter what your body shape you can't see the condition of your heart, so it's good to try and keep it in shape. THere are other reasons too.
