Coming from a guy in his 35s/40s who i work with says people who say you have wasted your time at uni only say that because they haven't got a degree and experienced uni life.
Got myjob because I had spent the time to get a degree and now getting CISCO and Microsoft training. It’s not easy to get the job you want, took me 4 months

Not sure how you can get motivated tbh. Thing that got me going was the fact i didn't want to re-sit the year again at uni.
