Well I had a 1.2 8v for 20k and never once had any trouble with it, wereas 2 mates had 12 volts, one of which expired, the other needed major repairs

i put 25,000 miles in a year on my 1.2 8 valve when i had it cupple of years ago... go 4eva them things!

Apart from my Exhaust going recently this and last week, I haven't had any problems with my 1.2 8v, compared to my old SRi that is.

Yeah, I think the Yaris has like 70bhp or something which is a hell of alot for a 1.0L

I have a 12v and they aint bad, depends what you want, ive had it to get my ncb and have decent insurance etc. Ive had it 2 and half years now and i have fell in love with the car. I dont want to sell it so im going to put a redtop in it i think!

i had a 1.0litre nova as my first car and i was more then impressed with its 4 speed gear box and how i could chuck it around corners etc

they are slower than most 1.0's

106 1.0, saxo 1.0, ax 1.0, micra 1.0 all faster

If a 12v aint a bad car performance wise then what is?

I can't think of anything slower that I still see on the roads today lol

my 12v was slow as shit, terrible on fuel and as reliable as a a crack addict who youve asked to look after ure telly.

Vans. I get passed lots of vans on uphill slip roads if you know how to drive them, and are on the ball/paying attention, they aren't that slow tbh. I mean, of course they are slow, but they are just as quick in heavy traffic than any other car.

if the car isnt that quick in a staight line give it some better brakes and suspension set up snf mske it quick round corners

I have one myself

At the end of they day...they are what you make of them tbh.

No denying that they are a slow car but get it dropped, fit some nice wheels and get a good set of treads and you can have some fun still.

Aint quite decided what i want to do with mine engine wise...toying with conversions but really not sure.
