I have a baileys DV26 and mines runs like poop because of it.

It messes with the afm or the ecu or something makes throttle jerky as well as a hot of other problems including the infamous turbo flutter.

i refitted my dv26 the other day because i was running no dv at all, standard recirc was blocked off by previous owner with a bolt. definitely doesn't feel as responsive, and thats gone from running no dv at all! should really get some 4mm vac pipe and plumb the oe valve back in

do you have the bailey DV26 "D" though, as i found out that the standard DV26 does as you said, hence why i had to pay more and wait ages for the DV26D. tbh mine hasnt ran any different what so ever. if anything it runs better as the soft as shit pipe has now got some strenth in it. and you can sort out the "Flutter" by adjusting your actuator.

Its nothing to do with the valve, its the design of the engine and it not liking atmospheric dump valves.

Im no mechanic/engineer/

Just take it off.

The flutter you are getting is compresser stall and not good for your turbo.
