it all depends if you see "James Bond" as a person or just a name.
take James Bond as a name, like a rank or job title, and the comment "M" makes is more believeable, ie James Bond is a position/job title hence Craig's Bond was the successor to Brosnan etc.
And to answer the Aston q - no it wouldn't roll that easily. has you have the DVD i'm sure there will be a short documentry showing how they performed that stunt (it was broadcats on TV to plug the film) and took several attempts and required the use of a hydraulic ram
good film imo but missin the cliche Bond theme music

Ace film 
Much better than any of the previous, and as Matt said, doesn't use all the gadgets and gizmos to get the job done.
Loved the Aston tho!
