God my first night out driving around i would not be taking corners at 40 especially in the wet.

Of course your in-experienced. You shouldnt be overexceeding things especially in bad conditions and in a car your probablly not used to.

Bad luck all in all though. Just fingers crossed it isnt to bad

it is your fault....

The car gave you a scare, you panicked. You cant blame others.

If someone shouted BOO behind you and you filled your Kalvins with crap... would you blame him?

If he'd have hit you whilst he was on the wrong side of the road, then, yes... its his fault.

Is your car lowered? Brake bias a bit wonky?

If i spin, and hit something.... its my fault!

Why did he spin?

If the other car was speeding on the wrong side of the road (how can you know he was speeding?) where did it go? Why didnt it hit him?

Why didnt he pull the car up in a orderly fashion?

If you loose control of YOUR OWN car, in my opinion its your fault.

Answer this.

If soap dodger A slams his brakes on right infront of HonestjohnB and causes the car behind to hit the rear of the car in front.... who is at fault

Soap dodger may have 'caused' the accident, but the guy at the back is to blame

but what he is saying is that he put anchors on because some 1 was coming at him and flew past and he span out (wheels locked)

if some 1 cuts into you lane on the motorway and u swerve to avoid hitthing his car and you hit a curb and flip the car is that your fault ?

Insurers would deem it that way unfortunately. If someone comes across into you on a motorway they would have to hit you for it to be their fault.

i see what you are saying, but its different.

He locked his brakes, he spun etc etc. He didnt swerve to avoid a collision. Didnt he learn how to control a car? Also - Corsa's are pretty bad at pullin gup in a straight line when they have been lowered without thought going into the brake bias

Anyway... its all just useless forum chat as no-one bar the two parties invloved will ever know the full truth... speeds, lanes etc.

No, its not lowered..

I've been ringing round scrappys today, can pick up:
Bumper + Impact Bar £20
Bonnet £20
Rad £20

So not too bad, gonna get someone to look it over to see if theres any damage to steering/sus, and also if chassis is bent..
